Project Overview:
The city council has proposed Interlocal Agreements (ILA) with the City of Houston and Harris County for the addition of a sidewalk on the west side of Wirt Road from the Hickory Shadows Park to the Westview Drive intersection.
Status:
Jan. 2023: Approved ILA between Harris County and Hilshire Village
March 2023: Survey work complete
May 2023: Public Meeting with Hilshire Village representatives, stakeholders, and residents that would be impacted by the proposed sidewalk improvements
July 2023: HDR submitted preliminary plans to the City of Houston Interagency Group for review and comments
September 2023: Fully executed ILA with the City of Houston and Hilshire Village
October 2023: City of Houston approved ILA August 2024: HDR submitted 70% design plans to the City of Houston permitting for review and comments
December 2025: HDR submitted 100% design plans to the City of Houston permitting for review and comment
