City Council Minutes

1. CALL TO ORDER:
1. Roll Call: Mayor Robin Border called the City of Hilshire Village Special Council Meeting to order at 3:00 P.M. at 8301 Westview, Houston, Texas 77055.
1.1 Present: were Mayor Robin Border, Mayor Pro Tem Connie Castro and Council Members Stephanie Post, Edward Davis and Bill Bristow. Council Member Shannon Whiting was absent.
2. ACTION ITEMS:
2.1 Council Member Davis made a motion to approve Ordinance Number 646 amending the FYE 2010 Budget, seconded by Council Member Post. Mayor Border stated this was routine and that Council had to balance the budget at year end after closing the financial books. City Secretary Blevins explained to Council the main reason the City was over on expenses was due to the lawsuit. A vote was taken to approve the motion approving Ordinance Number 646 amending the FYE 2010 Budget. The vote passed unanimously.
2.2 Mayor Pro Tem Castro made a motion to approve the resolution adopting a Capital Asset Policy, seconded by Council Member Davis. City Secretary Blevins stated she compiled the policy and sent it to the Mayor for changes and after the Mayor made his changes she then sent the policy to the auditors and David Olson for approval. She stated all parties had approved the policy prior to the meeting. A vote was taken to approve the motion approving the resolution adopting the Capital Asset Policy. The vote passed unanimously.
3. ADJOURNMENT: Council Member Davis moved to adjourn, seconded by Council Member Post. A vote was taken to approve the motion to adjourn the meeting. The vote passed unanimously. The meeting was adjourned at 3:17 P.M.
